MEET THE BAND

Shaley Teeter
Shaley is an experienced vocalist of 20 years, with a wide range of vocal abilities & genres from pop, rock, funk, jazz & so much more. Shaley started her singing career in vocal lessons at just 9 years old, and performing has been a large part of her life ever since.
Shaley has auditioned for The Voice and America's Got Talent over the years and has been the lead singer for DR.SLICK for 13 years. She excels at engaging with the crowd & bringing a unique welcoming vibe to the venue!

Dylan Teeter
Dylan has been a vocalist in Dr. Slick for 13 years. He takes his inspiration from artists like Justin Timberlake, Micheal Jackson, John Mayer, and many others.
He thrives on crowd engagement. Dylan also auditioned for the voice & American idol over the years of his career! He, Shaley & Kyle are all siblings and the originating members of DR.SLICK .

Kyle Teeter
Kyle is an exceptional drummer and musician playing all over the country for 25+ years. Beginning his musical journey on the drum set, Kyle is capable of covering other positions of a band while offering private lessons on the side. From vocals, bass guitar, keys, guitar, ukulele, and drums he can bring fun powerful energy to any stage. Kyle started the band DR.SLICK with 3 of his siblings back in 2014 and enjoys playing live music with anyone that wants to bring high energy positivity to the stage.

Jake Anderson
Jake Anderson is a guitar player & a vocalist who has been performing in the Rhode Island music scene since 2014. An original member of Tai Chi Funk Squad and avid funk enthusiast, he takes inspiration from bands such as Kool & the Gang, James Brown, Gap Band, and more. Vocally inspired by singers such as Stevie Wonder, Al Greene, and soul singers from the 60’s and 70’s.
His love for music came from his mom who was a singer in the early 90’s who always inspired him to listen and love music. Whether belting out some soul, harmonizing the lead vocalists, playing funky rhythm guitar, or blazing an intense solo, you can be sure to feel Jake's energy and enjoyment!

Chris Mitchell
Christopher Evan Mitchell started his musical journey at the age of 11, begging his parents for guitar lessons. Several years and teenage bands later, he found his true passion with keyboards and singing. He pursued his dreams and ambitions to wherever they took him.
Specializing in rock, ska, reggae, funk, punk, and jazz, he found his calling as a working musician in several roles and made people happy through music.
By joining Dr. Slick, he was able to fill in the musical gaps and elevate the band by adding in piano, electric piano, organ, clav, strings, horns, pads, and synths… all the ingredients necessary to round out the already phenomenal sound of his bandmates!

Robert Anthony
Robert Anthony began playing bass at the age of 14. His musical style is inspired by Stevie Wonder, Jamiroquai, and Victor Wooten.
His formative musical knowledge was assisted with education from North Kingstown High School and The Community College of RI, studying music theory and jazz history.
He was a founding member and chief songwriter of Uncle Everett, a band out of Rhode Island.
Currently a member of both Dr Slick and Tai Chi Funk Squad and loves performing live music!

Seth Burkhart
Seth Burkhart is a multi-talented and well-respected drummer and band leader known nationally and worldwide. His adaptable and chameleon-like style has allowed him to master a variety of genres that push beyond the traditional sound of jazz by incorporating elements of Funk, R&B, Soul and Fusion. Right out of high school, Burkhart attended Berklee College of Music. At the end of Seth's 2nd year, Seth Joined a national touring act, The SKAtterbrains.
A few years later, Seth had the honor of studying with jazz greats Ed Thigpen & Joe Hunt, among others. Seth has toured with Debra Cox, Greg Baril, Crazy Joe & The Rage, to name a few. Seth also keeps busy in the studio as a session drummer. Seth has been performing, touring, and recording full-time for 40 + years.
